Strengthening economic ties between Australia and Vietnam
On the morning of 7/7/2022, in Hanoi, a conference on trade promotion and business cooperation on the import and export of Australian red meat took place, with the participation of typical enterprises in Vietnam and Australia.
The conference is one of the events sponsored by the Australian Government within the framework of the Pilot Program to strengthen economic ties between Australia and Vietnam, under the project: “Improving knowledge about red meat products and processing methods in the Vietnamese market”.
To promote mutual commitment on trade and investment, economic liberalization and connectivity between the two countries and help them take advantage of the new market.
Sharing opinions at the Conference, Mr. Chu Minh Tuan – General Director of An Binh Group highly appreciated the project “Improving knowledge about red meat products and processing in Vietnam market” coordinated by the Australian Government. Mr. Tuan emphasized: “The conference has created favorable conditions for meat importers from Australia to interact with exporters, get more information, abundant supply, quality assurance of supply in the market Vietnam.”
The aim of the project is to support the Australian red meat industry in highlighting quality and promoting Australian meat consumption in Vietnam. It also addresses the concerns of urban consumers about food safety and the factors affecting the demand for premium beef and lamb.
Specifically, this project will create favorable conditions for the marketing of red meat by Australian businesses in the Vietnamese meat supply chain.
In addition, providing information to members of the supply chain of high-quality Australian red meat products, including meat grading and assessment systems, quality control systems, supply chain management, ethics in slaughter, ecommerce and how to prepare food as well as the most suitable eating method.
This helps Australian businesses improve their competitiveness against other countries exporting to Vietnam such as the United States, New Zealand and India.
